Residents beware – rash of local crimes CONTINUES

ecopsOn Friday last we reported on a rash of minor crimes in the immediate area. Sadly, it appears that the criminals are still at work. Please read on for a list of recent incidents.

  • Between the 28th March at 00:00 and the 31st March at 09:00, a shed was broken into in Thornhill Place, Longstanton. The perpetrator used an unknown object to snap the shed lock and gain entry. It is believed that nothing was taken. (incident reference CF0126160315)
  • Between 30/03/2015 10:30 & 30/03/2015 10:45. Offenders have stolen white Ford Transit lorry and aluminium Brian James car trailer that was attached in Willingham Road, Over. Also stolen is a grey and orange Stihl pressure washer and two blue Makita angle grinders within. The vehicle was seen to drive off towards Willingham. (CF0124420315)
  • Between 30/03/2015 18:00 & 31/03/2015 06:50. Offenders have used an implement similar to a screwdriver in an attempt to force the lock on the tailgate of a silver Mitsubishi L200 in Clay Street, Histon. No entry was gained. (CF0125720315)
  • Between 30/03/2015 22:00 & 31/03/2015 11:50. In Cossington Close, Cottenham, an offender has smashed the near side quarter light and front passenger window on a BLUE SEAT LEON and searched within, a Cambridge university security coat was stolen. (CF0125850315)

  • Between 25/03/2015 07:30 & 25/03/2015 22:26 offenders have forced entry and stolen cash from a property in High Piece Crescent, Over. (incident reference: CF0118280315)
  • Between 25/03/2015 09:15 & 25/03/2015 12:55 offenders have forced entry and stolen cash and jewellery from a property in High Street, Longstanton. (CF0117680315)
  • Between 25/03/2015 16:30 & 25/03/2015 19:45 offenders have gained access and stolen computer games, and a pair of female boots from a property in Moat Way, Swavesey. (CF0118020315)
  • Between 25/03/2015 17:00 & 26/03/2015 10:00 offenders have forced entry to a stable on Cow Fen Drove, Swavesey and stolen a wheel barrow. (CF0118860315)
  • Between 26/03/2015 13:55 & 26/03/2015 14:05 offenders have attempted to force entry to a property on Cambridge Road, Oakington. The offenders left in a black vehicle. (CF0119090315)
